Where you find comfort [2015]
Women’s body has been treated in unattainable and misleading ways in the mass media, especially in advertisements targeted to female customers. This work plays with the elements in construction of commercial photography, including subjects, lighting, color and products, to pose as fashion or beauty ads. Intentionally, the blemishes and flaws are untreated, even some of the details are exaggerated by the artist, making the audience feel disturbed or uncomfortable.
在大众媒体过剩的影像中，尤其是针对女性顾客的广告中，女性的身体一直被虚幻和谬误的方式对待。这部作品利用商业摄影的构成元素，包括主题、光线、色彩和产品，伪装成时尚或美容广告。艺术家故意将一些“错误”和“瑕疵”不予处理，甚至夸大或戏谑了某些细节，为的是让观众感到与实际商业影像的脱节或不适。
